Originally offered in 1963, the Silvertone 1478 was an instant favorite. The offset double cutaway body is made of solid Mahogany with a maple top, for a deep rich tone with top end bite. The genuine Bigsby® tremolo and adjustable steel bridge me
an faultless intonation and better string attack – an improvement over the rosewood bridge and antiquated tremolo system on the original. We also paid special attention to the neck profile, improving it with a modern C-shape, as well as coupling it to the body with a newly engineered neck joint system for longer sustaining notes. This reissue is the real deal.
